Completing training before arriving on site is a mandatory requirement when volunteering with Oxfam. This is essential for keeping you and others safe and making sure you’re confident in your role.

To make training easier, more flexible, and packed with even more value, we’ve launching a brand-new online training academy!

Training every two years (for stewards)

To help keep everyone up to date with key info and important updates, stewards will now need to train every two years instead of four. Trained last year? Then you’re good to go for 2026!

How to complete your training

If you've signed up to volunteer with us this year, you'll receive a link to the Oxfam Training Academy at least 2-3 weeks before your first festival.

You'll need to complete your training before arriving on site with us.

Access training through an online platform

Our new online platform means you can complete your training as soon as you receive your invite – no need to book a session!

Optional training opportunities

We’re offering optional extra training to help you grow your skills and knowledge. This year’s line up includes Mental Health Awareness and Manual Handling – ideal for anyone looking to feel even more prepared and empowered on site.

Revitalised Supervisor Training

Thinking about stepping up as a supervisor? We’ve refreshed our supervisor training with new content. Anyone interested in taking on more responsibility is encouraged to take part.

Earn virtual badges

After each module, you’ll take a quick quiz. Pass it and you’ll unlock a virtual badge – a fun way to track your progress and show off your knowledge.
