About Mighty Hoopla

Mighty Hoopla is a celebration of pop, self-expression and pure, unfiltered joy. Bursting with energy, it’s a festival where sing-along anthems, iconic pop performances, drag, and DJs collide in one giant, euphoric party.

Known for its warm, welcoming and proudly inclusive atmosphere, Mighty Hoopla is a place where everyone is encouraged to show up exactly as they are. Expect joyful chaos, and a crowd united by a shared love of pop culture and freedom.

How it works

Volunteering at day festivals gives you the opportunity to work a day shift and have plenty of time to enjoy the headline act!

You can choose to volunteer for just one day or both - you will just need to sign up to each one seperately.

Just like at our weekend festivals, you'll have access to free tea and coffee, crew-only toilets, and a food voucher to use at the festival.

Please note that there are no camping facilities available at this festival.

Shifts

There will be two options available to you when signing up to volunteer at Mighty Hoopla:

  • a ‘day shift’, finishing before the headline act
  • a ‘late shift’, finishing after the headline act

If you’re signing up to see the headliner, please make sure choose the day shift. If you’re volunteering primarily to raise funds for Oxfam or gain an extra priority point, we’d really appreciate you selecting the late shift where possible.

About the Volunteer Roles

Your role at Mighty Hoopla will involve scanning tickets at the gate.

Please note that this is a standing role, so you’ll be on your feet for much of the shift, however you will be given a short break during the day to rest and recharge.

Impact: For every stewarding shift you work, the festival pays Oxfam for your time. That means every hour you give, is raising money to support communities around the world who are fighting against poverty.

You’ll spend your day chatting with festivalgoers, sharing the stories behind Oxfam’s latest campaigns, and inspiring people to take simple but powerful actions - like signing a petition - that can make a global difference.

It’s a brilliant role if you love talking to people, being out and about, and want to be part of something meaningful while soaking up the festival atmosphere.

Impact: Campaigning at festivals helps us raise awareness of key global issues, brings in new supporters for Oxfam, and helps us put names and voices behind the campaigns we take to governments.
