About the Volunteer Roles
Stewarding
As a Boomtown steward, you’ll be part of the team that keeps the festival running smoothly and safely. From welcoming people at the gates and checking tickets, to staffing venues and handing out water at the stage, you’ll play a vital role in creating a great experience for everyone.
It’s a varied, hands-on role that’s perfect if you enjoy being helpful, meeting people, and being at the heart of the festival.
Shifts: 3 x 8¼-hour shifts.
Impact: For every stewarding shift you work, the festival pays Oxfam for your time. That means every hour you give, is raising money to support communities around the world who are fighting against poverty.
Shop Volunteering
As a shop volunteer you'll help run our Oxfam festival shops, staffing the tills, restocking, and engaging with festivalgoers.
Our festival shop roles open to current shop volunteers, interns, or members of staff with at least three months of experience.
Shifts: One 6-hour shift a day, rotating between morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.
Impact: Our festival shops raise thousands of pounds for Oxfam each summer as well as saving massive amounts of clothing and accessories from landfill. By stocking items tailored to the festival audience, we also show festivalgoers that they can look and feel good without harming the planet.
